All applicable steps must be completed to participate in a class.

STEP 1 | APPLY TO LEEWARD CC.
 

Click here to apply by the applicable deadline (see below).

• Spring 2021 Deadline EXTENDED: DECEMBER 29, 2020

Begin preparing your health clearances as needed for STEP 6.

​

In 2-4 weeks, you will receive an acceptance email at the email address you provided on the application, at which point to can begin the activities in STEP 3.

STEP 2 | RECEIVE ACCEPTANCE EMAIL

​

The email will be sent to the email you indicated on your application.  Once you receive your acceptance email, you can complete steps 3 - 5.

STEP 3 | CREATE OR ACTIVATE YOUR UH USERNAME

STEP 4 | SUBMIT HEALTH CLEARANCES

​

NOTE: If you plan to take only the online HAW 101 course, you may skip this step.

 

Please note that not submitting health clearances will restrict you to registering for online classes only.  If you later decide to take any courses with an in-person component, you will need to submit documentation.  Click here for more information and instructions for using File Drop.

STEP 5 | REGISTER FOR THE COURSE
 

You will contact Kumu Kepa Badis at badis@hawaii.edu to request a special override to be allowed to register for the class, and then you will register in STAR.

 

Click here for instructions to register.  The unique Course Reference Number (CRN) for the DOE HAW 101 class is 52156.

DEADLINES:
 

• The deadline to register for a Spring 2021 class is Friday, January 3.
